The outbreak of coronavirus has dramatically changed our daily life. This situation is unprecedented for all of us, but together we will get through it. At Londonist, student safety, as always, is their top priority and the team are doing their best to help and support these students during this difficult period. In fact Londonist DMC have claimed that, "we are actively monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and we are updating our strategy and our policies to adapt to our students’ current needs."

For the next 5 months:

"We don’t know how long this situation will last, but until everything returns back to normal, we want to facilitate every student that needs to stay in London", Londonist continue. With some on-campus accommodation closing and travel restrictions in force, the company wants to ensure that students who cannot return to their homes, will have a safe home in London. That is why they are offering 2 weeks of free accommodation to any student who needs a home in London for the next months. Londonist explain that this offer is valid to those students who book long-term Londonist accommodation i.e. for 4 weeks or more*.

For the new academic year:

During this time of social distancing, it is important for our well-being to continue making plans for the future, because like we always say, this ugly period will pass and we will get through this. The Londonist team totally agrees with this, in fact they say that, "at Londonist, we are committed to help our students proceed with their future plans. To do this, we have revised our booking policy for the new academic year to include a flexible booking option. Students can secure their room for the next academic year now, with the option to cancel for free until 31.05.2020**. In case of cancellation, a full refund will be given and no cancellation fee will be applied."

Right in this very moment we may feel that everything is on pause, but let’s not forget that after a while, life will get back to normal. Until then, the Londonist mission is to stand on the side of every student and support them as much as possible.
